Lake Colby Beach

Lake Colby Beach is the Village of Saranac Lake’s public swimming beach and waterfront recreation area. The beach provides public access to Lake Colby for swimming, relaxation, and seasonal recreation.

The beach features:

  • Public swimming area
  • Seasonal lifeguards on duty
  • Restroom facilities
  • Picnic and shoreline access
  • Shallow swimming areas suitable for children

Lake Colby does not permit large motorboats, helping maintain a quieter recreational environment for swimming and non-motorized water activities.

The Village has recently completed accessibility improvements at the beach, including a wheelchair-accessible pathway and temporary accessible changing area. Additional accessibility upgrades are planned as part of ongoing waterfront improvement efforts.
