Once again, the Saranac Lake Arts & Culture Advisory Board (SLACAB) is reaching out to our talented artistic community to adopt-a-bench. You’ll have plenty of time to develop your masterpiece–we’ll be accepting submissions until June 31st, 2025. Artists selected will receive a $500 stipend and be recognized with an engraved plaque on their “adopted” bench.

• 1-2 Designs: Sketches or renderings for how your design will appear on a bench
• Artist References: Share examples of your artwork as PDFs or JPEGs.

ADDITIONAL INFO:

• Artists and designs will be selected by a committee of SLACAB members, community members, and sponsors. 
• Artists will be responsible for paints and supplies. 
• Selected artists will be notified by July 7th, 2025. 
• Painting of benches must be completed by August 14th, 2025. 
• Benches can be delivered to your workspace to be painted during the allotted time frame. Once completed, village employees will pick up painted benches by June 20.
• SLACAB will suggest touch-ups as needed, in hopes that the artist will make any needed touch-ups. If a bench is neglected, SLACAB will recommend the bench be repainted.
