Baldwin Park


This scenic little park  is home to a Korean and Vietnam War Memorial and has tennis courts, basketball courts, boat docks and a car-top boat launch. There are benches for relaxing, and a nice view of Dewey Mountain from the shore of Lake Flower.

Trails run through us

Our shorter trails are great for day hikes, but Saranac Lake is also intersected by a couple of longer routes:

Northern Forest Canoe Trail: 740-mile water route from Old Forge, NY to Fort Kent, ME. NFCT now has an information hub in downtown Saranac Lake located at 84 Main St.

Jackrabbit Ski Trail: 34-mile ski trail from Keene to Paul Smiths.

Parks within the Park

Lovely and local — a taste of the Adirondack Park, right in town. Since 1910, the Village Improvement Society has owned and maintained seven local parks and beautified the Village with flower plantings. These parks offer a relaxing refuge and plenty of scenic views.
